WHAT WE BELIEVE AND WHAT WE CONSISTENTLY ACHIEVE:
Focused Events is the UK's number 1 Track day Operator. Established in 1995 by Kevin Healy, a retired national racer, the business is based upon a SAFETY 1st and Financial gain 2nd basis. We organise quality events that are also the best value for money and track time that can be had anywhere in the UK or Europe.
Focused Events organise motorcycle track days in the UK and Europe. Using only the most prestigious ACU and FIM approved circuits their events range from single UK track days to 3 or 4 day track events abroad. We always have on board a full support service inclusive of Tyre Support and sales, Products, Suspension service and advice, photographic and video services and a fleet of 2007 Yamaha R6 hire bikes.
Foremost the company is run with conscience first and financial gain second. All our events are run with a full medical support system in place, with a fully equipped medical centre available at the circuit and at least 2 ambulances on hand with doctors and paramedics always on immediate standby...just in case. This has proved to be a growing strength for us as more and more customers return for our value for money and safety first attitude with no smart money grabbing gimmicks ! During 2007 we will run over 200 events in the uk alone.
THE DEFINITION OF A UK TRACK DAY:
1st and foremost a track day is an opportunity for you the rider to explore and enjoy riding your bike on a race circuit. It is our job to make sure that you do so with maximum enjoyment and maximum safety with maximum value for money ! That is why you will not find on a Focused Events day any form of general testing being condoned or allowed.
So when you as a customer book onto an event, what can you expect. Well firstly when you do book you will be asked a number of questions. Firstly if you are a 1st time track day rider you will be required to wear for your 1st event a yellow flourescent jacket. This is for your safety. It highlights you to the people that are in the slower group that it is your 1st time on a trackday. They will give you more time and space to ensure you have a great day. However if you are a regular trackday rider we will ask you about your expierience and the type of bike that you ride and then finally what group you would like to ride in. However we will reserve the right to move you before the event into another group depending on the requirement for the groups available. We often explain this in the following way. If you look at a train leaving a station every day, you will not get the same people getting on that same train every day. Race circuit use is the same, if you come to Cadwell or Brands or any circuit with us, you will of course realise that every day we have different people coming to the circuit to have fun, but not the same people every day. Therefore before an event we will look at the expierience of the riders taking part and sometimes we will move some before the event into a group that is more suitable for them on the day. That does not mean of course that this decision goes unchecked. Shortly after the briefing, when the groups commence you will see our Operations manager either on the Pit wall or in Race control monitoring the groups and then moving 1 or 2 riders up or down in the groups to get each groups ability levels as even as possible. Our Instructors also carry out this operation throughout the day and again in the afternoon the groups are checked for continued levels of equal abilities.
After you have signed on for the day you will be required to attend a compulsory riders briefing this will explain to you the rules for the day, it will give you some useful tips and of course there will be a couple of light jokes to start your day. But the tone will be simple, there are rules that must be followed and they are there for your safety. If they are not followed you will only be given one warning, after that you will be asked to leave. Everyones safety is paramount at FE and we do not tolerate any form of inconsiderate or dangerous riding. That is why people enjoy days with us and keep coming back. They simply feel safe because they know we care !
After the briefing its 3 sighting laps behind the instructors and then you will be allowed onto the circuit for the 1st time on your own. But remember we are there to help in any way we can. Everyone at our events from marshals to Race control are monitoring the circuit activity and if we can help in any way we will. Some times we will come and discuss with customers ways to improve his riding and lines on the circuit, and the operations manager is always in the pitlane to offer help and advice. Remember at FE its about having a fun day out at the circuit
There will be on hand at all our days instructors "free of charge " that will be able to take you around the circuit and open up its secrets to you and they will be available to spend time with you (again "free of charge")....these instructors are either current or retired racers that have been hand picked by us to ensure that they can communicate, explain and understand you the customer to help you find the way forward to achieve safer and faster track time with us. They will all have been on our Instructor course that is held every year, and can only work on our days if they have attended this course every year. THE DEFINTION OF A EUROPEAN TRACK EVENT:
We are the market leaders in this field....purely and simply because we will always put you the customer 1ST and will not try to con you with cheap sales tricks...especially on the price. After all why should you stay in a poor rundown hotel when its so easy to have a 4 or 5 star hotel. At some circuits we provide flights and transfers, either by the way of coaches or mostly by hire cars between 4 people. Your bike will be transported to and from the event by our own fully insured transport systems and this includes (for an extra cost) a Uk collection and delivery service if you require. And when it comes to the circuit again we will only use the best European venues. In spain we use the quality facilities and now we are also going to Brno in the Czech Republic and are soon going to other great circuits also in Europe. We will always be on hand throughout the event. From the moment you arrive at the airport in the UK we will take care of you.....all you have to do is sit back, relax and look forward to nights in a GREAT HOTEL and 3 or 4 days on a FANTASTIC CIRCUIT and again most importantly we will guarantee you (unlike the others !) Only 2/3 groups in the morning and Open Pit-Lane in the afternoon and of course all our usual support services ..... "SO REMEMBER......STAY FOCUSED !"
